The Rougois Tourbillon is a real, bona fide Tourbillion 3310, hand wind mechanical 19-jewel movement. The Tourbillon counters the effects of gravity by mounting the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage, in order to negate the effect of gravity when the timepiece (and thus the escapement) is rotated. The tourbillon (located at 6 : 00) oscillates and rotates itself around the axis of the frame every 60 seconds, thereby acting also as a second hand. The watch is not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye but also mesmerizing to look at while sitting on your wrist. In addition to the state-of-the-art movement, the watch also features a day/night indicator at 3 : 00 with a corresponding 24 hour dial at 9 : 00, a coin-edge bezel, an onion crown, and a silver dial and luminous hands.
