At first glance, these three timepieces appear to fit only in the sports watch category because of its incredibly intricate 5-piece dial, but closer inspection and you will find that it functions as a dress piece as well. The main dial is decorated by an elegant Cotes de Genève pattern, and on top of that is the fancy cut dial faceplate. Down at 4 o’clock is the strategically raised bridge with an acrylic window for days, which also includes a clear and colored hand for day indication. Then there are the concentric circle sub-dials for the date and 24-hour indicators that add a very modern flair to the look and feel of this watch, and last but not least is the angled flange for the dial perimeter. What makes the Gen-X, Pro, and Sport function as a boardroom piece are the stainless steel lugs; while the all-black execution with red-tinted crystal makes for a perfect sporty look, the rose gold and stainless steel executions allow you to transition this watch from jeans and a t-shirt to a suit-and-tie piece in the boardroom! One of the Gen-X, Gen-X Pro, and Gen-X Sport’s most stunning qualities is the 3-dimensionality of the dial work. Along with the complications included with the Citizen-Miyota movement, the individually applied Arabic numerals and hour markers have also been raised, which gives them the impression of just floating off the face of the watch and really enhances the wonderful texture. The Gen-X is fitted with a smooth and comfortable silicon-based rubber strap with contrast-stitching that’s been seamlessly integrated into the case, which means that these straps were custom fitted for this model! The Gen-X Pro, however, comes with a triple row stainless steel link bracelet with contrasting center link to match the execution, while the Gen-X Sport is fitted with a cool rubber strap for a truly sporty persona.
