Up until a few decades ago, wearing a mechanical or automatic watch was widely considered “male fashion,” and centuries before that, owning a watch at all was considered a symbol of status and wealth. Trends and fashions change as time passes, and the disparity between gender-oriented accessories dissolve, so it’s no surprise that more and more women are wearing mechanical watches today. To keep up with rapidly changing culture and style, Stuhrling Original designed watches like the Audrey. This timepiece combines the traditional mechanical automatic movement with the beauty and femininity of women’s fashion. More than just a simple play on colors and executions, we’ve focused our attention on the overall aesthetics of the dial work. Each of the individually applied Arabic numerals were stylized with gentle curves, then set with Swarovski Crystals. Furthermore, we’ve included an open-heart complication on the Audrey, but instead of the usual circular cut out, this one was done in the shape of a heart above the balance wheel. The Audrey has a classic three-hand mechanical automatic movement set inside a 36mm case blanked from the highest grade 316L surgical stainless steel. It features a bezel decorated with Swarovski Crystals. The Audrey is then mounted on an 18mm padded genuine leather strap. Four additional straps are included in four different colors of red, pink, white and lavender. Protected by a domed Krysterna crystal, this timepiece expertly merges impressive engineering with delicate beauty, perfect for the lady in your life.
